I'm in the final stages of stripping a 79 F150 SC 2x4 - It's been sitting behind my garage for months and I've taken the basics out & off - seats, engine, bed, fenders, hood, bumper, grille, gas tank - still planning on pulling the steering wheel, glass & a door.
Anyway, the real question here is about where I should spend my efforts - I am motivated to get this thing loaded on a trailer and out of here, but I don't want to waste time taking parts off that I may never use or find a buyer for - can anyone advise me on what F150 parts are worth saving/removing before junking it? I've stripped a number of old T-birds and know what's valuable on them, but never a ford truck.
Parts that remain on the truck include a complete A/C system, C6 trans & 9" 3.50 Rear, seatbelts, steering box, mechanicals, electricals, etc. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
You can reply off list, if preferred, at fte@t-birds.com
I agree with jermafenser you got some good parts there especially the 9" the streeters and drag racers love them give e bay a try make ya some money$$$$$$$
Gotta agree with the crowd... I'm always looking for quality spare parts for my '79 Supercab. My wish list is extensive. To pay good money, they have to be near mint or refurbishable to near mint.
everything on the truck is worth something to somebody. i once sold the whole roof from a SuperCab to a guy. they're known for rusting out. i also sold the front half of an F-250 4x4 frame to a guy who was building a 4dr bronco. my neighbor even cut the metal off of the side of the supercab for the floor in his VW bug. if the floor in the back of the cab is good cut the whole thing out, NOBODY!! makes this. my old F250 floor was shot in the back. sure wish i could have found one back then.
if the truck has the roof lights and cargo light i'll buy it from you.
