so let me get this straight, you say its a 250 now??? why?? both 81 f250's and 350's had 8 lug dana 50 ttb front ends??? i would just find a 60 for a decent deal and bolt it in

Irregardless of whether its a 250 or 350, the leaf sprung D50 TTB won't bolt under the 150 without some fabrication and modification. My advise is to swap the 150's body onto the 4wd frame and sort out whatever is making the racket. Maybe you'll even get lucky and find that your problem is in the front axle. That'd be a good excuse to swap in a D60.

Alright, so if I have a 96 F-250 4X4 with a Dana 50 front dif, what years of Dana 60 front ends do I need to be looking for to do the swap?

85.5-97... 85.5-91.5 would be your bets bet as they are king pin axles. no ball joints to contend with!
