Oh Yea

Give us a lead on your problem. We will think on it. Then look really smart when we post a solution as soon as you post it.

led lites

i finally figured out how to start a topic. sorry i'm so stupid. my questions which a added to another thread were--are led tail, turn, back up lites lots brighter and do they last. i noticed one vender says they will never burn out because they do have a filament to heat and cool. sounds logical. anyone actually tried them?

Maybe try the General Automotive Discussion Forum or the Electrical forum.

LED - Light Emitting Diode, yes they WILL burn out, but the lift is like 7,000 hrs or something like that. LEDS are very directional, light the spotlight where your normal 1157 bulbs are more like a floodlight, not as bright but lighting up a bigger area. Make sense? Ive got LED in my Bronco and soon to be in my 75 pickup, I love them, they dont use that much current from the electrical system, but, my tail lights dont light up much of the actual tail light, just directly behind the bulb... HOpe this helps ya!

One thing I notice is they are much faster than a regular bulb. If you compare LED's to a regular lamp, the regular lamp actually seems to slowly go dim and then slowly get bright again, never really going off, when the turnsignal is used. An LED actually blinks on and off.

I do like the pure cherry red color too. You may have to change your flasher if you put LED lights in though.
