Hard shift into reverse

The C6 I just swapped in really shifts hard into reverse. Everything else is OK. Sometimes it goes in smooth, buy mostly really slams into reverse. Any clues?

idle to hi reverse gets a ton of pressure if the ldle is to hi it will slam in

Idle seems fine. Would not having the Carb kickdown hooked up cause the higher pressures?
