spray in bed liners
They also removed the bed bolts and tailgate access cover screws. They shot over the two oval rubber grommets on the front of the bed. Looking back, I would probably ask them to remove those.
I would imagine drainage
I had the dealership spray LINE-X for $250, they told me the same thing about the bed rail caps, I wanted to spray the bed rails and a bit under them, but they were against it.
It looks great!!!!!! Very "factory" looking and professional. I had Rhino lining in my last truck that I had for 5 years. Although I liked it, the installation was not near as neat and clean as this line-x. The Rhino had more inconsistencies in the looks, depth, and had runs and nasty looking edges around the tail gate area. I was also able to gouge it with a shovel pretty easy
My Line-X guy removed all the bed bolts, the tie down hooks, the tail gate bolts, and sprayed the tail gate access panel separate in case I ever need to get in there. He went up over the top of the front rail, and I had him go a couple inches down the back of the bed (below tailgate) and to 1/8" of the edge of the bottom of the gate. All edges are near perfect, no runs, drips, or messes. He also sprayed over the rubber grommets in the front of the bed as he has had no one from Ford give him an explanation for why these are there. He has sprayed over all of them and so far has had no one need to remove them for anything.
Rhino I had color matched and was over $700 5 yrs ago. Got the Line-X in black (in my black truck) for $470 Also had my truxedo lo-pro tonneau installed at the same time. 3hrs total and I was out of there.
I'll add some pics to my gallery in a few days.
I would like to run the air-compressor power lines and air hose through them. I'm going to mount my compressor in a cross-bed toolbox. I could probably just slice the grommet and run the lines through.
