Where to start?
My 1994 F 150xlt, 5.8L E4OD trans has many issues right now that it is parked! I can start it up but have noticed that the Fuel pump appears to be very lengthy in pumping as the sound of it working stays on for a while . Tranny shifting has been an on going problem. Right now I have very lettle power in drive postions. I get a little more power to move (More like crawl) when put into lowest gear. In reverse I have regular power to move. I can't see reversing everywhee and now I have very hard slamming into shifts no matter if into drive or reverse (This is without even moving yet. Any help on where I should begin Wish I could just get trany changed but at the moment trying to see what i can do. Anyone with ideas please repond!

The first thing that I would try is to flush the trans and change the filter. When removing the pan, look for debris. You will find some, but if a lot is there, get ready for a rebuild. DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT take the vehicle and have the trans power flushed. For some odd reason, the power flush seems to destroy the torque converter. I have lost two tranny's after power flushing them. I don't care what the supplier says. You have it done, the trans fails, you pay to fix it, not them. Been there and done that TWICE!
