I know this has been discussed ad nauseum, but this is really getting ridiculous! Regular gas in my area (West Michigan) is now $1.00 LESS per gallon than diesel. Diesel jumped today from $3.10 to $3.58!! The real heating season hasn't even arrived yet! $4 per gallon is coming quick folks.....my truck's going to be parked.
I felt the "pain at the pump" today, and a week ago. Last Thursday I put in $92.92 worth at $3.11 a gallon. Today, 504 miles later, I put in $99.73 at $3.49 a gallon. This is just obscene, and I can't believe regular unleaded is at $2.49 a gallon and diesel is at $3.49. What is going on in the Mid-West? Mass. is cheaper and the New England states use all the HHO.
At this rate, it won't be long before I spend just as much money in fuel every month as what my truck payment is. This is just ridiculous.

Laredo....it is ridiculous....yesterday Wesco (station chain in West Michigan) had diesel at $3.58, then they lowered it to $3.38 later in the day, and today it's back at $3.48...regular is $2.48....still a buck difference.....Speedway (the outfit that seems to set the price in Michigan) had diesel for $3.38 yesterday around here and it was $3.55 in northern Michigan. My wife filled the truck up yesterday at an independent mom&pop station that was still at (only!!!) $3.10. All this and I saw yesterday that oil futures went down....normally if they go up the price goes up the same day too.... Walmart still had diesel (at least the sign said) $3.07 today....how can there be such a difference!!!
3.01 for diesel in Vegas... the Smiths supermarkets offers .05, 10, and .15 cents off per gallon depending on your purchases... $30.00 worth of stuff got me 2.96 fuel
2.84 in New Jersey. 2.72 for unleaded regular. NJ is all full service for gasoline but self serv is ALLOWED for diesel although not all stations permit it.
