Your 15 minutes N of LA could be about 2 feet on some days.
I used to go out there to do QA inspections on some government contractors. I always offered up a few Chickens to the gods before I left the East Coast.

I found a geographic survey (governement site) thing a while back that had the same images too. I live in a small town (10K) in the middle of nowhere. Not too many foreign governemnts satellites spying on us I guess (Our own don't even see us). LOL
With what I'm doing for my Masters Degree (Geology), we use a lot of the satellite imagery. The stuff you guys are finding for free on the next is nothing compared to the detail on the original data we use. I may even be able to read your liscense plate numbers Actually, I'm guessing much of what your looking at is actually a composite of aircraft photos and not satellite images

That plus every RV mfg'r has a shop in Elkhart county. Be sure and check out Come 'n Dine restaurant in Wakarusa. I spent 10 years in that neck of the woods. Actually Nappanee is in the middle of conservative Mennonite country. The Amish are farther east over in the Bristol area. (The buggy wheels are different, Mennonites have phones and electricity in the house) You'll figure it out

Don't kick the steaming road-apples!

George,

I added my comments in the "shout box" and, naturally, my dyslexia of the fingers took over while I was typing and I messed it up. I tried to add the moniker for my truck, "Country Cadillac" and ended up with County Cadillac......oops. There is no way to edit it so I just had to add to it..........such is life

irondragon
I graduated in 1999 from the New Mexico School of Mining and Technology with a degree in geology....its cool to know that I'm no the only rock head around this board.

Irondragon, Most trolls really like the "wilderness" north of the Big Mac and most of them don't even know this part of the state even exists
Only problem with a select few who relocate to escape the big city problems they have lived with, bring the big city mentality with them
It's too bad but??
