hiball... I removed everything I needed from a later-model F100 (around 1976) that had Twin-I-Beams and disc brakes. This inluded the crossmember, spring towers, etc.

I removed the crossmember and straight axle from my '59 and replaced it with the Twin-I-Beam stuff. I didn't use the original I-Beam axles - went with dropped I-Beams. I fabricated adjustable frame brackets to support the radius arms so I could move the caster about 5 degrees plus of minus.

I also used the portion of the donor frame that held the power steering box, so I could install a 1970 Bendix unit I had laying around. I welded it in at the back of the crossmember just as it was in the donor truck. Withthe 429 ci I have about 1/2" between the exhaust manifold and the steering box.

I'm expecting to have several pictures of the modifications on this site in the not too distance future. A couple of the forum gurus have volunteered to help me set up a gallary.

Minneapolis, Minnesota. The buckle on the rust belt.

They preemptively salt the streets when snow is predicted. My F3 will soon be in storage 'til April. I consider it project season; April thru October is driving season.
