Got the truck back from Line-X a little while ago. Had the bed sprayed a few months ago and today they did the rocker panels. Also pictured (hard to see) are the Buswacker fender flares. Pics are kind of random, so don't try to apply logic to the order.
That is pretty slick - reminds me of the coating on the rocker panels of a Triumph TR7 - same thing, kinda, as Line-X - from the 70's - think they were worried about rust in the UK?
Very nice looking Ford Super Duty. I had my monitor set to wide for the first few and I was wondering what made her look so long and low. I set the aspect to normal, and wow.
I am starting to like white vehicles more and more and the way you have tinted the windows , the dark fender flares, ......Excellent.
Thanks again everyone. Being a lowly XL model, I've got to do some things to "jazz" it up a bit.
I really didn't want another white truck (this is my 6th one), but it had the exact options I wanted- just not the color. So, I bought it and am trying to 'minimize' the acres of white sheetmetal.
The tint is limo- on all windows. Probably illegal but it sure helps cool down the interior.
As for the lift & big tires, I like the look of that stuff but it isn't practical for towing a fifth-wheel RV. I will probably get some slightly larger/more agressive tires when these stock ones are worn out... which won't be too long at the rate the rear ones are losing tread.
just goes to say and show you don't need to jack them up to have a good looking ride,
as to tires i agree it's kind of hard not to wear the back ones out faster then the front with this motor.
That is a sharp way to lessen all of that white paint! Maybe you ought to get the hood painted black. I hate white paint and won't even look at vehicles that are white even though they might be the best one. Goes back to my childhood, Dad always had a white pickup, I like my Dad, just don't like white!
I had the dark tint on my back 2 windows and the rear window (came with truck). I ended up scraping it off. It was very hard to back up to a gooseneck trailer and see anything through rear window in full daylight let alone when it was dark. Was always rolling down windows to see anything. I decided it just wasn't safe for me as it was hard to see cars behind you with the center rear view mirror unless they had their lights on. I am sure they were helping interior to stay cool and lessen sun affects on interior parts.
