I have an F100, the Bronco reference is just about the manual. I did find the pipe plg on the right side but it is not half way up, it is only about a quarter way up. 140w is pretty common in the parts store around here as we have 8+ months of summer. Typlically 90 degrees from late March to mid October. I thought my F100 was a '73 but I just checked the VIN and see it is listed as a '72. No wonder the Haynes book has been confusing me.

confusing a 72 with a 73 is very hard they look nothing alike.
The Haynes book says the 10th character of my VIN is the year model and that number is 2. The truck has the same look as the cover of the 73 -79 Haynes book. What do you think?

Maybe it was built in '72 yet is a '73 model year. i looked at the gallery and it looks like the 73's. Now I'm confused.
