Newbie to Excursion community
Hello, I just purchased an '01 4X4 Diesel X Limited w/119,000 miles because I needed something that would haul the 4 kids plus the boat, horse trailer, etc..
I expect the X is going to serve me well but after a couple of days motor began running bad and died. My wife is notorius for running low on fuel and I had told her she can't run a diesel out or low on fuel. It showed 67 miles to empty which I told her not to trust and I thought it was out of fuel. Problem ended up being a Cracked fuel filter cap that was getting air in fuel.
I have been looking at other posts to get info on improvements I can make to the X and will be cutting the front bump stops back soon. Any other common things to watch for or improvements that are beneficial ?
How long is factory steering stablizer good for ? I have a Rancho RS 5000 shock taken off a Jeep couple years ago that looks like it may bolt directly on.
