shocks for non lifted

I have a question regarding the RS9000XL Rancho shocks some of you have been recommending. Looked it up on the web and it seems that it is only for lifted trucks starting at 2.5 inches.

Does Rancho have those shocks for the non-lifted 2011 F-250 diesels? Checked out Rancho and they start at 2.5 inches, 4 inches, and 4-6 inches, etc., but nothing for just the OEM truck owners? I assume they do sell the?

If so, does anyone know the part numbers for front and rear so I can get rid of the Rancho pretenders it came with? And about what is the approximate cost of these shocks? I don't think I will get the air system but just do it manually.

Thanks,

on Rancho's facebook page awhile back they posted a 2012 f250 with 4" lift and rancho 9000 shocks so I commented and asked for the 2011 F250 stock height part numbers and they responded with Front=RS999042XL (2) Rear=RS999254XL(2)

I installed them myself in about an hour. Air tools make it short work.

Thanks for the question lundman, I am in the same boat. Since I have nothing but time on my hands all I've been doing is surfing the net, and had the same question as you.

sdetweil - will their (Rancho's) dual steering stabilizer work with the shocks you installed for your truck? I wasn't planning on ever lifting my new truck.

Thanks,
J

Truckaddons seems to have the best prices on the shocks. From what I understand the dual stabilizer will not work on a non-lifted truck or at least leveled. There was another thread on this a few months back. There is a bit of the frame under the engine that hits the stabilizer bracket.

wonder if any other manufacturer has a dual set up that doesn't require a lift.

Truck Addons did have the best price. But I had to call them 4 times to get them delivered. After they sold them to me, I waited a week and then called to find out they were not in stock and were being dropped shipped from Rancho. Front shocks arrived a few days later.

several weeks went by and I called again about back shocks. Folks were surprised to learn I had not recieved them and check and said the order had been misplaced and they would get them right out.

Two weeks later I called again and found out the order had gone into a black hole and they were again requesting Rancho direct ship them. They arrived a week later.

So if you order from them, get package ids so you can trace the shipments.

The hardest part of the install was taking the front tires off to access the shocks. Piece of cake to install.

Icon. I ran mine stock for about two weeks (with no issues) before I added the leveling kit.

Factory Heavy Duty front spring package would opt for the 2.5'' front shock ??

take off the wheels? I just turned the front wheels all the way one way (and worked on the other), turned them back the other way.. etc..

put the bottom bolt in, then push down on the shock and slide the top in.
tighten top, tighten bottom.. my 18in extension (and universal joint on passenger side) made the fronts a lot easier.

the rear top bolt (nut really) above the exhaust was the hardest.
