84 2.8L duraspark conversion
I have an 84 Ranger 4x2, 2.8, 5 spd, 4.56 gears. Question is, will my 77 302 carb (2150-2.08 351?cfm) be too much? I put the 79 Mustang distributor in last year, but it broke the button shortly after start-up. I thout I broke something in the engine so I parked it until I got up some money. When I checked out the distributor, I found the button was broke. I have an EGT guage in place, but its triggered by the factory O2 sensor. Any suggestions as far as jets? power valve? Do I need to change the timing? It is a stock Duraspark distributor, so no advance curve changes.
