408 stroker injected

What do you guy's think I should do?

I have a '73 EB with the original 302 in it, but when I bought the bronco the old owner also gave me a 351w out of an 89 F250 injected.

I would really like to put a 408 stroker injected in my EB.

So which would be most cost effective; rebuilding my current 351w or buying a crate engine already stroked?

defineitly doing the 351. a crate motor would run you close to $5000 if not more!

what drivetrain are you running? i'd be worried running anything much stronger than the 351 and using stock EB parts. i am running one ton alxes and dont really want to pull the stock 302/2barrel

I am gunna drop some serious $$$ (for me) on my EB. I want to have a 4x4 Monster! I would like to keep under 20k. So the order that I would like to start with:

1st - disc brakes
2nd - engine+tranny (I want an automatic), new electrical w/wiring and guages.
3rd - bigger lift with bigger tires, I currently have a lift (unknown hight) with 33's on there. I guess it is a 3 1/2" lift.
4th - Roll cage
5th - maybe different bumpers

Does this even make sense?? what do you guy's think?

I guess to answer your question.. I'll have to ask. What type of use will your EB see? I have a 351 sitting in the garage. One week I want to stroke it and then another week I just want to drop it in and drive it. Disc brakes is a plus.. I run 36" swampers with a 3" body lift and about 5 1/2" suspension lift. My roll bar needs to go for a full cage also. My little stock 302 has a good bit of power... But never enough!!!

most guys will agree that a 351w with a 4bbr, will do. you can get about 350+ for about under a 800 doller if u do it your self. But then again u have a EB 73, u still need a lot of other work then just the moter.. But if u have any 351W Q's hit me up i been playing with my 77's 351w for about 3 years.. just another q' what terain will u use it for, i went desert on my bronco, so i just use the dana 44 and the 9" with a locker.. on 33 and have no problms until my tanny gave out.
