Ranger beeps five times
Just the other day, my Ranger blew the frost valve on the rad, coolant flushed out and the vehicle stalled. I later had this repaired. The heat gauge displayed normalwhile all this occurred. I'm confused.
Since the repairs, when I start the vehicle, it beeps five times for a few minutes and then stops beeping. Anyone have a clue what's going on here?
Stick around someone will be by shortly to answer your question.

Never heard of a beeping, though my boat beeps when it's overheating (water pump failed). I know it's probably got NOTHING to do with this, but considering your situation, just a wild guess.
I would say disconnect the battery for 30 mins or so, let the computer reset everything, and see if it still does it, then check for codes. Report back.
Regarding the "beep", are you referring to the "ding" of the warning chime? If so, I'd still try the trick of spraying contact cleaner in the door switch.
Moroever, you should replace the coolant temperature sending unit immediatly, since it obviously is faulty. Engine temperature is one of those vital signs that needs to me monitored at all times, and you can't do that if the gauge isn't working properly.
