differences between 72&73

What is the difference between 72&73 f-100?? And if i was to buy a lift kit for a 73 f-100 would it work?

The 73 used taller front springs than the 72, IIRC about 2" taller, but the rear suspension was the same.

ford six, are you sure the rear susp is the same on both yrs? I have a '72 and when looking for replacement leaf springs, all I can find is the ones that fit a '73.

i think the leafs on the 73 and up are wider than the 72 and earlier and located wider than the 72's. i have a set of front springs from a 41000 mile 72 and a set from a 79 and they are the same height but the 79 are slightly thicker. the 72 is a inline six and the 79 was a 400
