I had a 94 miata that I raced and I used a do it yourself liner at a local store, this stuff is permanent, does work great, but I had heat from the transmission coming through

Truck Daddy question for you. Right now my bed inside is mostly surface rust. I plan on having the truck painted soon. My future plan is to have Line-x put in. Should I have the bed painted. What is the prep process for line x. Would the be need to be sandblasted? Any input is appreciated.

Rust is the enemy. We have to remove any rust, which is not a problem if it's just light surface rust. If you have heavy rust or deep rust, sandblasting is the best way to go. You do not have to have the clean surface painted. If you have it sandblasted, the quicker you get it to a LINE-X dealer the better. Also, if you sandblast, do NOT use oily blasting media.
