I Need Help Fast!
I Have A F150 Xlt 4x4 I Am Changing Thf Fuel Filter I Have Removed The Rear Tank Side Clip But Cannot Get The Front Side Off I Have Sprated W D 40 In The Fitting To Clean It Out And Tried 2 Different Tools And Cant Get It Off Can I Cut The Fuel Line And Use Rubber Fuel Line And Hose Clamps? Any Help Would Be Great I Have Been At It For 4 Freekin Hours Thank You

i have grabbed the plastic push on fiitng on the end with a pair of pliers, abot 1/2 inch from the filter can. hold in one hand, stick a big screw driver between teh canister and the pliers and pry between the two. eventually the sheetmetal clip inside will tear loose and the coupling will pull off. throw the bent sheetmeatal clip away when you install the new filter. put your plastic retainer clip on to retain the filter. the sheetmetal clip is somewhat of a safety clip. nice to have, but wont leak without it.

hey steve i tried that i actually used a cats paw and visegrips and a screwdriver to no avail,with the plastic tool and the metal scisor style tool,its like the tool wont push the tabs back far enough to disengage that dang clip.
