Anyone ever used Zaino? Are the results worth the effort? How often do you need to redo it?
Any before and after pics? I have been to the website but I want to see actual pics from people.
Yeah, I ordered a basic stater kit last summer. It came with Z-2,Z-5,Z-6,Z-18 (clay bar), special effects accelerator and three applicators. The stuff is great. Very time consuming to apply, better allow for the better part of a day. Follow their instructions to the letter and I think you will be pleased. I try to do mine two times a year, spring and fall. Sorry but I don't have any pics, but I'll try to get some as I need to do the truck again before winter sets in.
Zaino is a good product but I prefer commercial grade products (which many are now available on the retail market). I have used 3M products for 20 years and found them to be very easy to apply, remove and they hold up very well.
3M show car shine liquid carnuba wax
3M hand glaze for paint cleaning and swirl mark removal (annual)
Clay bars....well, if you look in the front pages of your factory service manuals they all state not to use a claybar on the paint.....the clear coat is very thin to start with and clay bars remove a very thin layer of the clear each time they are used. Now if you have no choice, ya gotta use it but Ford also list chemical agents that are specifically designed to remove paint contaminents that are very mild and effective.
I've used Zaino since 2001. The shine is great and the durability is the best I've ever used. Claybar is an option. I Zaino'd my Camaro SS without claybar and I've Zaino'd my Corvette with claybar. Claybar removes any impurities from the surface. The first time you Zaino a car/truck, go over it with claybar. If you keep the vehicle Zaino'd, you'll never have to claybar it again. Zaino's site is www.zainostore.com

Not my pic, but I love this Zaino pic:

I use Zaino on my 04 Infiniti G35 coupe, Love it, they make it so you can wax it and let it sit overnight and then wipe off the following day. I did maybe 8 steps, going back and forth between products, throughout 3 days, it came out excellent, I havent tried it on my 05 F-350 and im not sure that i will. These trucks are BIG, and will most likely be a lonnng process, but the zaino is an excellent choice.
Hi Mark, I have tried Zaino in the past, it did look some better than regular wax but in my opinion not worth the cost. Some folks went wild and put on coat after coat of the stuff when it first came out.

Just my opinion, but those who say this either 1. Probably did not read the instructions on Zaino's website or 2. Did not use the correct products. For example, you are not supposed to use a circular motion when applying the polish (did you know that?) and some folks apply the polish without following up with the gloss enhancer (Z6). Both are mistakes that are rather common.
