Question NEED Help on rear rotors

I just got a set of slots for my 00 F250, 2wd srw. I've seen the posts about removing the rotors on duallys but can't seem to find anything on SRW. My manual(CD) talks about removing the axle to get the rear rotors off. Is that correct. The fronts were a piece of cake, but the rears got me ?? Do I just whack them or what?

Thanks

Actually I finally hit on the magic recipe. One part liquid wrench, two parts Shiner Bock (or your regional favorite) and one part BAH. After the second Shiner and a dose of BAH they came right off. They're turning out to be a big improvement in braking and a great set of rotors for a decent price. Can't beat it.

Thanks

So do you have to remove the axle to remove the rotor?

No I didn't have to, just apply the liquid wrench generously and let it work for about 1/2 hr, then whack it good with a BAH. Came right off and got the new rotors on and put all back together. Turned out to be an easy job, not bad for 4 new rotors, pads and bearings. Wish the other projects came together as easily as this did.

What did you use to rust-proof the new ones so that they don't eventually stick, too?

I didn't even consider that, they weren't really rusted, just set in there tight after 5 years. My stock ones have 130k on them and the fronts had been turned regularly until they wouldn't take another turning, so they came off easy. If I get another 100k out of them I'll be happy. They seemed to be a little beefier than the stock ones I removed.
