87 Bed on a 62

I have a 62 f100 4x4.....

Someone hit and run it, and the bed that was needing TLC now needs to go...

An FTE friend has an 87 Bed.... If Im not mistaken it will bolt right on, right? Or at the very least it can be made to fit?

Bump, cmon guys, anyone?

I was under the impression 80-86 beds would bolt right on, and an 87 bed is the exact same other than taillights........

It wouldnt be near as ugly as it is with the mismatched lines 62 bed that it has on it now that is rusting out and just got tagged in a hit and run....

Those stock beds look silly, cant look any worse than it does now.

What wed really like is an 80-86 step side bed to put on it, (someone on FTE has done that and has a pic in their gallery) but until we locate one, this freebie from a friend will work fine

So anyone know if it will bolt on, or am I gonna have to do this the hard way and drive up to his place and measure it first

I wish I could help but I can visualize it and it seems to me they are very simular in apperance. I bet it can be done. My brother has a 62 sitting in his backyard gathering rust to bad you weren't in CA. He is trying to get rid of it.

Gentlemen, We must address each other with more respect on this forum, and not start, emulating what I hear goes on in the NW forum.
