I Have been using it I changed to amsoil at 5000 and changed it again at 10000 mi because my oil analyisis suggested that I change it due to high silicone levels. Am about to do another anylisis. I use amsoil 15W40. They have two versions synthetic and synthetic blend. I also use it in my wifes freestar and ahve done a analysis on it also, have not needed to change it since I put it in at 5000 mi now have 13000. Also get the fumoto valve it REALLY helps in changing the oil and taking samples.
Most of Amsoils oil products ARE NOT API certified. To keep a vehicle manufacturer's warranty valid, you must use an API certified oil. One other problem with Amsoil products, since it is a MLM company, the cost of their products is highly inflated!!!!
Bob Thanks for the info but thats not what he asked !!!! And your wrong on both accounts. Steelman I switched to Amsoil at my last oil change at 10k with 15w-40 diesel and plan to run it 5k with an oil sample . I ran it in my 01 7.3 for 43k miles with no problems . My mileage did improve about .5 mpg but havn't run it long enough in the 6.0 to know if its improved. Amsoil is a good oil and havn't had any problem running it in anything I've own.
