Can Tap Thread Size

Ok AC Gurus - I need your help!!!!

Does anyone know the thread size of the male fitting (where you attach your can tap) of a disposable 134a can? We have an application where we use the same style cans but they are filled with inert gasses. We would like to find some place that offers the piercing fitting for one of these cans but without the valve. I need to be able to go from a can to a 1/4" NPT male fitting that secures into an existing piece of equipment. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I think the can tap thread size is 7/16-28NS/2.

In other words I am looking for a piercing tap that goes to a NPT fitting without the valve.

Thanks much - NDS
