LED lites or Neon
Hope someone can help me i just got LED tubes,i wanted to line the back of my truck bed in my 1998 F-150 ext-cab under my bed cover i have a bed-rug liner in my truck so it is very dark.I hooked up this lites alont the rails of bed and there not bright at all.The bed rug is very dark in color almost black but the led are red is it because there red or they just suck.Should i have got the neon tubes instead in red or just get another color.Thank you all on this matter!!!!I did red cause my truck in fire engine red!!!!

it could be the color of the led's but i dont think it is neons would probably work better for that particular situation, if u still want to use red that is, other wise you could probably get a brigter color led's and it might work, i would go with the neon personally i think it would work better and the red could actually turn out lookin quite good

From the neons I have seen I think it will iluminate flat black with any color you use.
LED's are really not meant to illuminate an area, although I have LED marker lights and tail lights on my flatbed. The area around the bed is rather well illuminated, mostly the back with all the LED's on the back ot it. I have high mount tail and brake lights on the headache rack, the bed is rather well illuminated but there are 47 LED's in each tail light. When I hit the brakes, you will know I am stopping if you are behind me.

so you think the neon would be better for me then the led lites cause the led lites are 4ft long which has 60 led lites in it ruff.i just want the inside of the bed to lite up it would be more for a look thing.What color should i get as well white or red my thruck is fire engine red.Thank you for your time on this!!!!
