Brake drum question

On my 49 I have replaced my Dana 41 rear end with a 72 F100 9 inch rear with the 2 1/4 x 11 inch drums. It has 5 1/2 inch bolt circle axles. I want to find a ford car drum with a 4 1/2 inch bolt circle that will mate up to my F100 axles after I plug weld and redrill them for a 4 1/2 inch bolt circle. The center hole (which I believe is important for load carrying capability) in the F100 drum is 2.875". I would prefer to avoid machining/drilling new drums provided that I can get a drum that will fit. I plan to run solids from Drake. My front end is Jag sedan which has a 4 3/4" bolt circle and drake solids are either 5 1/2" BC or a combination 4 1/2" and 4 3/4" BC. Has anybody been down this path? I tried my local parts house without success since they do not stock the older drums which could be measured/compared to my F100 drum.

I really can't help you because I redrilled my drums when I redrilled my axles. I would like to know of some drums that one could use.

Get a set of drums from a 65-72 Ford car, sedan or wagon . THey use the 4-1/2 bolt pattern. You can get the drums new from NAPA or CarQuest.
