Replacing Speedo head on E-450 Van..Question

Hello to all here:
I am going to replace the speedo head on my '99 E-450 van chassis and I would like to ask if any used speedo head from identical year van will swap into my dash without calibration differences since the rear sending unit feeds the info to the head, or do I need to find a speedo head that matches the exact specs of my current van's specs? Can the mileage odometer be adjusted mechanically to the current mileage (7,600) of my recreational vehicle's actual mileage? The speedo needle won't register but the Odometer still functions ok. I'm trying to locate a head from a local wrecking yard and don't know if any matching model will work properly. I thank you in advance for any guidance you may offer on this..............Orest402

I am not sure if you do get one to match, that it will work correctly. It may need to be programmed at the dealer. There may be odometer reading issues and such. Nothing is easy anymore.

Call the dealer and see what they say, and if they have to do something, how much will it cost.
