Hi,
Can anyone tell me if the front fenders are the same on '64 trucks in 1/2, 3/4 and 1 ton styles? My father-in-law's '64 one ton has been hit and he's having trouble finding a replacement that's correct. He needs a passenger side. He ordered one, but it came in for a '66 and is slightly different than the original. Any help would be appreciated. He's driving mine until his is fixed, and it's getting cold riding my bike to work! :-)
I believe the fenders from 61-66 are the same for the F100 and F250, but the F350 and up, plus the 4x4 fenders are different. They have a larger wheel opening than the lighter trucks.
My ex-64 F250 had the larger wheel openings too. Seems the F250 was inconsistent with this - I've seen them both ways stock. The smaller opening has about 2-3 inches more metal in the wheel opening. Otherwise they are the same.
The higher cut fenders were use on the bigger trucks and some of the 4x4's. I fond one in a bone yard for the passenger side but I never did git one for the drvers side so it was never used. I was going to put them on my 66 4x4. There is a 64, I think sitting up out of town here with a high cut on one side and a smaller openning one on the other, so it will work that way but looks funny.
