new carb. new fuel pump?

hi i am getting a new 600 cfm edelbrock carb. on my truck and was wondering if the stock fuel pump will work for it for awhile or will i need a diff. fueal pump like a new edelbrock one i am planning on putting one on but was wondering if i could get by with the stock one for awhile? thanks alot kevin

The stock pump works fine on my setup. You might look in to getting the stock pump with the filter canister on the bottom. It costs about 10 bucks more but is worth it. This site probably has them, if not see the LMC catalogue.

I ran a stock pump on a 302 with a supercharger and the rear jets were drilled out to a much larger dia.

I'm using the stock pump on a 460 with a Holly 650 double pumper.No problems at all.
