Hi Guys,
I finally got Burt's buildsheet from Ford (took almost 2 months!) Pretty much everything on it I knew, except that old Brown Burt used to have White accent paint, and that he was made in the San Jose, CA plant on 4/2/77. Something puzzles me though. What was missing on the buildsheet is the factory A/C. Could this have been added at the dealer? Just curious..
Dak
Really? and add on? Do you know then if this was a dealer add on? I really thought it was a factory ... did the factory A/C incorporate into the heater controls? (it does have a factory high output heater)
thanks for the info...
Nice pickup. Yours is considered 'dealer add on' air. The obvious difference is in the controls. Factory a/c is run by the same slide controls as the heat and defrost. Add on a/c has it's own set of controls for temp and fan. Since yours is 'dealer add on' it would've been built as a non a/c pickup, so the build sheet is correct.
Thanks for the replys guys. Dealer add on is fine with me! It works great, but the belt vibrates a lot when it is on. I am thinking off adding a tension adjuster to it to smooth it out a bit.
Dennis,
Sorry about the pictures! I have a laptop, so I don't have that problem. I have redone my gallery and added a listing, (from memory anyway!) of the upgrades, restoration, etc. I have done to date. Thanks again guys!

Ford390gashog listed this in the tips and tricks section: Got to ford.com then use the ask kate to request a build sheet.
I called Ford direct, but I can't find the number at this point... I do know I got it somewhere in the tips and tricks section of this site. The guys here are a wealth of information...

I'm in contact with Ford at this time on two VINs ( 78 F-350 and a 78 Bobcat ).
It's a long process. They have already "misfiled" my request once. They are trying
a second time currently. I have emailed and called them. They are glad to help. Just a matter of WHEN.
