Hello everyone. This is my first time writing on the forum. And my problem is a stuck bolt. My water pump went out and I went to replace it and found that my bolts are pretty rusted. I managed to two break two bolt trying to get them out. I got one of the out with a pair of vice grips but the other is STUCK!! Since it was sticking out a little bit, I used a pipe wrench and ended up breaking at the base of the timing belt housing.
My question is....What is the next step in getting SOB outta there?>
ashylarry, ya probably know what you have to do next. Pulling the timing cover can be a pain in the A$$. Is there any meat left to grab the bolt with or are we S.O.L. But then again, if the ya busted the timing chain cover, ya gonna have to take it off anyway. If it makes you feel any better, we have all been in your position. well maybe not in your exact position but close to it. Which bolt is it on the water pump? 3 across the top or the long ones on the left and right, or the bottom ones?
