Is there any differences in a steering column with shifter on the column out of a 1976 is any different than a column out of a 1978 without a shifter on column, anything with the turn signal switch, all I know is that the switch looks different , so is the wiring out of the turn signal switch different, if I were to put one out of a 1978 in my 1976 will it work correctly?
Whoa there Million. If you're referring to the hazard switch you pull out to activate the lights, It is definitely located on the lower right side of the column on a 1976 truck. It's an integral part of the turn swithc assembly and I think that turn signal switch is good for 73 to 76
both my 74 and my 79 have the hazard switch on the column. my 74 is a 4x4 with a 4 speed,my 79 is an automatic with cruise and is 2 wheel drive. so i would have to agree with 76supercab2-billy
