Too bad you didn't buy you truck back in 2002. My truck came with the factory bed lid and i didn't want it. The dealer knocked off the $900 cost of the option and just let me keep it. I was going to sell it and decited that it was better to have it. Especially when i found out my truck rides like crap on the freeway without it and like a cadill......(almost compared it to a chevy) Lincoln with it on there. I would recomend getting an aftermarket one. They are usually around $700 for a fiberglass one that is painted too match. Snug top is priced high (usually around $1000). ******** is a really good company thats lids are just as good and they aren't as expensive.

This disadvantage to the factory cover is that it has the tendancy to fade like the plastics on the bumpers and the mirrors. I find myself treating it with back to black about every 2 months to keep it from fading. I made the mistake of armor alling it once and as soon as i drove with a little dew on my truck it rinsed the stuf all over my bed and tailgate, so i wouldn't recomend that.
