I have a 1997 Ranger Xcab. I am not sure if it is an XLT. Anyway, I had the truck serviced for A/C charge and the mechanics disconnected the battery at one time. Now the time on my dashboard is off by 3 hours. The mechanics do not know how to reset it.
How do you reset the clock? I bought the truck used and there is no Manual.
There should be a button on your radio that says "clock" or something like that. Hold that button down and use your "tune" button to change hours and "seek" to change minutes. I may be wrong, but I think this is how to do it. Someone will probably correct me though.
Just a little bit of info, if the emblem on the front fenders says Ranger XLT, it's an XLT. ;-)
It would depend on what radio you have, but basically all OEM radios have a clock button on them, it's easy to figure out from there.
Thanks for the info. Sorry to respond so late. I went on vacation.
Although disconnecting will work, another FTE enthusiast-GWIGG suggested to use the seek and tune buttons in connection with the clock button in resetting the time. It worked.
