Don't the new cadillacs come from the factory with LED main lights? I followed one today and they sure looked like leds. Many small dots and come on way faster than standard bulbs.
Not sure about the caddy's...
Here is an interesting note - the city I live in has changed one of the major intersections traffic lights to LEDs and they are WAY more noticeable than standard lights.
Food For Thought.
I have not yet seen the LED bulbs on the market, I did not realize they had hit, however I did see in a recent electronic industry trade magazine an article about a company who is making a bulb with several LED's pointing straight out (aimed right at the lens and then has more LED's ringing the side, like spokes on a wheel, aimed at the "mirror" to scatter the light more. At the time of publishing, they said the bulbs were only 90-95% of the brightness required by the DOT. The expected to have that resolved soon....So if what I described above is not what is currently on the market, it might be a good idea to wait for them to get these out. Hopefully they will solve the concerns of our wonderful State lawbreakers...err.....I mean....lawMA-kers....
So are these LED bulbs pretty readily availible or are only a few places selling them?
I've seen the LEDs at car shows and at Wal-Mart (of all places!) - so most autoparts stores should have them or atleast have access to them.
Hope this helps!
