Alright thanks guys Ken I found yourt information the easiest to do. I fouund out I have a 3.0 Liter.
In other news I got my flowmasters today. My truck sounds like a beast
Your intake doesn't have 3.0 in great big numbers on it? Or the valve covers for that matter?
Funny, I was just thinking that myself. most motors from the late 80s on have the 3.0L or whatever size motor it is stamped into the intake, or valve covers usually, on most engines I've seen anyhow. not to insult anyones intelligence, but I'd look there first.
I usually look at the sticker that shows the serpentine belt routing. Ford uses one sticker for both V6's, so you can see which diagram matches what you see.
i never noticed if i've got the 3.0 stamped on the valve covers but who would brag about it anyway? lol. as john deere said there is a label on the radiator support that specifies whether its a 3.0 or a 4.0 for belt configuration unless its been in an accident and the label has been removed for some reason. another dead give away is a leaf on the tail-gate which is for the flex-fuel 3.0!
