Pulling power
I have a f600 with a 370 2v enigine in it with the standard 4 spd. What is the max i can pull with this truck..i''ve pulled a 20 000 pound trailer with the flatbed loaded to the max b4 but the was a little iffy and prob wont do that again...was wondering if i just pulled the 20 000 pound trailer i would be good. The truck is an 86 but only has 26000 miles on it an i am the original owner...well my father is

Well the entire brake system was just replaced and updated all around and new master and what not....our old trailer was stolen and i'm looking to buy a new trailer with a 21000 gtwr which is perfect for my needs all together i think the max load on the trailer including its weight will be around 18 000 pounds or so. I'm not to worried about the braking system...i'm very happy with its performance and i'm having all 3 axles on the trailer with brakes. THe only problem with pulling this much weight is making it up hills....i can move 10 000 pounds on the flatbed and get started no problem...it has gobs of pulling power in the low end but when wanting to make it up inclines it runs out of steam....i dont have the optional 2 spd rear and was looking at maybe swapping one in but i think in 2 or so years i'm upgrade my truck to a new f750...they are some nice units and of course diesel power 
. Anyways thanks for the reply if any one has any more suggestions aside from telling me this engine is useless...because its really not...it is a beast of an engine if you know how to use the transmission to your advantage
