My sensors are OK, I did swap them to be sure. I ordered a pcm because of the huge fluctuation in the ECT reading, an actual sensor won't do that. Besides, that's all thats left, I have no vacc leaks and no bad sensors. Apparently the pcm can't decide what the temp is. For it to jump 6-10 degrees (up, then down) in a second is a new one on me. 10 degrees is a lot to an engine.

Glad that's not my primary vehicle, I have about a week wait.

The 302 is like 35-40 PSI. 59 sounds way too high. A brief web search mentioned 35-45 was the spec for the 460. And the pressure is supposed to go DOWN as engine vac increases to maintain a constant pressure differential.

Return line... yeah if the regulator isn't bad that would have to be it. Not sure how you can clog a return line other than the tank switch valve getting stuck.

Pressure goes up with vacc drop (throttle). 59 is too high, but FPR and lines are good, cap's off.

I dunno...

A restriction in the fuel rail downstream of the schraeder (nearly impossible)?

Whatever it is, it clears up at high engine temps and it throws tons of codes. The weird ECT readings have me baffled. I have a pcm coming late this week, if it doesn't help I may pull the engine and scrap it, or leave it at the auction next weekend. I have less than 40k on the 7.5.

You said that you had scanned it in a previous post. Did you do the wiggle test?

Yes, nothing whatsoever on wiggle. If a pcm doesn't do it it goes to auction

Put the pcm in. That was it, runs like the 35K mile engine it is. The fuel pressure went down, too for whatever reason.

Thanks for all the posts and help!

Darn! I was hoping to pick it up for a song at the auction.

Glad you got it fixed. Sorry you had to go around the county to figure it out but it's better to rule out the cheap and easy stuff before spending the big bucks. At least it's not your daily driver.

Did I mention that it's looking like lightning hit it? I don't remember if I did or not. It runs perfect, the keyless entry wont work now.

OT: What's the fuel pressure spec for my V-10 E450? Just curious, nothing wrong with it.

I probably will sell it soon though. It's running great and I may actually get something for it. The parking spot would be nice too. I will have glass in my 56 caddy ambulance soon and it can go outdoors then.
