I switch to mobil 1 0w30 synthetic in the winter. I don't have the luxury of a garage, but i do have an autostart. highly recommended. I plug in when at home, but work, etc. I don't get to plug in. i like the better flow, you can hear the difference when cranking over on those 20 below weeks.
Well, I just got my Expy back from the dealer today. They changed my lower door cladding for me, no charge (yipee!) Ordered the new seatbelt part that they forgot to order last week (oops) and finally took a road test to hear my front end whine (gonna get fixed when it goes back for seatbelt). I asked about the oil and the tech told me that the oil in it now (5W20 recommneded) is just fine. Plugging it in helps of course. He did say it was a good idea to have it changed just before the REALLY cold stuff hits regardless of how many klicks on. Just to keep it clean. Does anyone know if Mobil makes a synthetic at that viscosity?
