My truck is running and I have a couple of other projects going on but I would rather sit at the computer and read what others have to post. Guess I am kind of shy.
My wife fusses at me about it but I put on my "Tin Ear" as she calls it.
When i came here, i had just bought my first truck. i kept coming here because i liked the people here, they are true geniuses. now they have given me PMS (Powerstroke Mod Syndrome), causing me relentless spending of my money on parts for my truck when i was supposed to be saving up for a new raptor 700. I love this place!
I bought a '79 Camper Special to replace a well-used '77 F-150, and just wanted to know a little more about it. Since then, I've turned into a supporter, make the chapter meets semi-regularly, the 1st National Rally, and met some really great people in real life.
Funny thing is, I never did really learn anything about my truck .
See, thats what i like about this place. all this nice, clean, family friendly humor. All the guys here have been so nice and supportive, its a lot different from other forums (pirate4x4) ring any bells? youll never see any flaming or whoring going on here, unless a dodge or chevy man stumbles into us!
A 1980 f-250 was what brought me to this place, and the fact that my truck would not pass the emissions test any way, any how. since then ive put caution to the wind, and drove it anyway. i needed a new air pump bracket, which i found, (BTW, i have a smog pump/alternator bracket if anyone needs one, somebody at a parts desk couldnt read part numbers right # is E3TE-9C476-BA). here i am, 300+ posts lator, learning all kinds of good stuff.
