check engine light?

Ok,i have a 2001 f350,6 speed, dually, lifted with 315/75/16 tires. I have a 4" straight pipe, the big napa air filter mod, and a superchip 110 hp installed.So..... when im on the pedal, usually passing, the check engine light will come the odd time. It goes off if i take er easy for a few miles. It seemed to come on more when i had the waste gate plugged. Anybody else have there light come on?
cheers

I'm just starting down the Mod trail, but from what I have been able to learn, is that it's a common occourance.

any time your boost gets up around 25lbs it trips a sensor that turns on the check engine light. have heard of some guys installing a boost fooler to eliminate this from happening. I dont much worry about it since the light goes off after a minute or so.

I haven't tried this yet, but it makes sense. At BlackCloudDiesel.com, they have a product called Dual Relief Valve++ which, for 39 bucks, seems to be what you might be looking for. It fools the MAP signal to the PCM. Check it out and keep us posted if it works.
