Front Driveshaft

went to order a u-joint for my 1980 f150 front driveshaft at autozone. they needed to know the type of the driveshaft. he said that there are 2 types. anybody know the difference between the 2.

Well there is the single type and the double cardan type. I thought the double cadan were only on the larger f350's for the front though.

In OZ there were 2 different sizes for the tail shaft uni's.

I took my front shaft of my F100 4X4 to a transmission expert as the slider spline was just about had it. I had it rebuilt along with new uni's both ends.

All up about $180 AUD.

That is the easiest way rather than guess at the shop without a sample.
