Hi all,
I'm getting ready to do some winter maintainance on the battery of my 96 f350. I know that when I disconnect the battery the ECU is cleared. My question is, is there any procedure for reseting the idle and other ECU oriented stuff after reconnecting the battery? On my honda the procedure is to start the car, hold the RPM at 3000 until the radiator fan comes on, then drive it a bit (if I don't do this the idle is off). Would I do something similar with my truck? Thanks

My 1996 Owner's Manual says that you should let it idle for 2 minutes after you've replaced the battery.
