Alright I hada nasty shaking problem when I first got the truck, so I checked the U-joints-good, mounts-tranny bad. So I replaced the tranny mount and it got a little better, but still vibrates like crazy when it hits higher rpms. I am unable to use a big chunk of my powerband because of it. I noticed my power steering pully was a little wobbly. Could that make the whole truck jump like that? Or should I be looking somwhere else? The motor mount seem solid when I grab the engine and try to move it but I have not pulled them out yet.
Anybody have any ideas? ALos I think the trow out bearing could be going out because it squeels when I move the clutch peddal. Could it do that?
I am kinda lost, and any help would be appreciated.
Any place in the driveline could cause a bad shake.
Trans mounts were bad, but replaced.
Is your driveshaft a one piece or a two peice? If it's a two piece unit, it will have a steady bearing, and that could be the source of your vibration, as well, your driveshaft could simply be out of balance. Another issue to check is the amount of play at the spline/yoke end of the shaft. If it's excessively worn, it will shake like crazy.
