Damn.
I think I'm just gonna see if I can buy a complete junkyard 390 with all the accessories. I mean, hell, it can have a rod sticking out the side. Even if I have to come down and look in yards in LA for a day.

A cast iron crank has a parting line that runs down it from the casting mold. Pretty easy to spot. The forged cranks have no parting line and have a smoother apperance overall compared to the iron cranks. Some but not all forged cranks have the $ sign on them. This is the trademark symbol from Wyman Gordon who forged lots of Fords cranks. There was also another co Ford used to forge cranks but the name excapes me now. LOL....
