Unhappy Need help not getting spark

Hi all, I have just about totally completed my 302 swap into my bronco II. A little back ground on what I have. I have taken a 302 out of a 1991 F150 EFI motor with the EEC-IV computer. I have transplanted everthing I could think of needing from the truck with the motor. such as the wiring harness and computer and all sensors and vaccum and ignition parts. I am completley done but I am getting no spark. There must be something I am overlooking in the wiring diagrams. I am getting codes from the computer and it is tied in to the ignition switch. fuel pump is also tied in ad turns on for a few sec when key is turned to on position. I am pretty close to giving up, I have replaced the ignition module and coil new wires spark plugs cap rotor and pickup coil. I have both a chilton and hanes manuals on both the donor F150 and for my bronco II. There are actually a few wires coming from the computer to the big round plug that is next to the computer in the fire wall that the manuals say nothing about. so I have no idea what they are for. any help with this electrical problem would be great thanks

I don't know that 5.0 at all, but a couple of obvious questions: Is the ignition module getting power? Have a good ground? Engine block grounded? Power to coil? What codes are you getting? Does that vintage 5.0 use a TFI ignition module or is it a distributerless ignition?

Yes I am getting power to the coil and the Ignition module. I do have the ground attached to the engine block from the battery. and it does have a distributor. One of the codes I got from the computer was something about the tranny not being in park during the Key On Engine OFF test. Would that keep the system from sparking? If so how do I figure out wich wire from the EEC-IV goes to the neutral safety switch. So it gets a signal from the switch saying its in park. The wiring diagrams in both the hanes and chillton manuals dont show anything about wich wire is for that. Still stumped.

Thanks for the reply

Not likely that the neutral switch has anything to do with this.

Take a look at the "Read first tech info" at the top of the forum for how to test the ignition system.
