Switching Diablo chips

Switching Diablo chips
I've got a friend that has a 1999 F350 automatic 7.3 liter powerstroke and he wants to give his diablo performance chip to another friend who has a 1999 F350 standard (5 speed) 7.3 liter powerstroke. Apparently it's easier to switch the computers out with the chip inside, rather than removing the chip before reinstalling it in the other truck. My question is whether the two trucks use the same chip and if the two computers are the same since one has an automatic, and one has a standard transmission??? Thanks in advance for your input, Jeff

The computer code must be the same to switch the chips.The computer code is on the drivers door,theres a little white tag with a letter and 3 numbers if i remember correctly.It is also on the computer too.Unless the computers are the same code they would not be able to switch the chip,he would have to get the chip reburned to his computer.
As for switching the computers,i dont know,but some one will chime in that does soon.
