I have an 1986 ford bronco II and when I was driving home yesterday ... the rpms went down to 0 back up and then back to 0 and stalled. We took off the pcv valve cleaned it and then the truck started. We waited for about an hour and tried it again and it started... but when we put it in gear to move it, it stalled again.
We tried starting it up again and it wouldn't start but here is the funny thing... We took the key out and it kept trying to start on its own until it drained down the battery. We have since recharged the battery but it is still trying to start on its own!
I don't know where to go from here any thoughts ? thanks for your help

Pull the little wire off the starter solenoid and see if it's stops cranking. If it does I would check out the ignition switch, if it doesn't stop cranking then check out the starter solenoid.
For the no-start pull the codes, test the fuel pressure and check for spark.
we replaced the pvc valve and the starter solenoid and now it 's not starting on its own ... it started ran for about 10 minutes then stalled and now it won't turn over... so off to the garage we go... i will let you know what the problem was when /if i get it back thanks for the help
well it is now fixed it ended up being the computer... it got fried some how and it fried out the ignition switch and module as well... thanks for the help!
