78 Axle ID
I know this gets asked almost once a week, but none of the previous posts help me.
I have a 78 F150 4x4 and need to ID the front axle. There is a tag on it between two of the bolts with the following numbers:
3 50 D8TA TE
610049 5
Could someone please tell me which axle this is? I assume it's a Dana but that's about all I can guess at.
Thanks in advance!

It's a D44 with a 3:50 gear ratio.
1978 F-150 flareside. Primitive by todays standards but she was a jaw dropper back then. :-staun

Thank you kind sir!
Is that a good axle? Is the 60 better? Just tryin' to get an idea of what I have and what I can improve. I also need parts for it so that'll help a lot.
Thanks again!
