Question e.g.r. valve

I dont want to beat a dead horse. BUT i have 4 wires connecting to the wart if it accidently falls off c.e.l eluminates, mass truck i know. The ? is are one or two of the 4 wires triggering the c.e.l. and is there any way to leave c.e.l.trigger wires and have the wart wires fall off? or are there any other solutions out there any help would be nice. thanks in advance.

Purchase a "extra" wart and wiretie it to the engine, so its plugged in... Just remember to take it off if you take it in to the dealer....

The 05's for the Emission states they all will lite the Check Engine Light if the EGR is disconnected.

All the 06's should do this now as the 6.0L is now 50 state certified. (same as CA)

I wonder if a custom tune on a SCT type box would be able to keep the check engine light off if the EGR became "disabled"?

Hmmm.

Will that dummy EGR work? I want to avoid tuning this new one if at all possible.

05 unplugged, check light not on. no mods. on truck, have mine unplugged to get rid of the pow,pow noise on a pull. Boost drops then its right back, 19-21# boost on a slight pull, unhooking the EGR and it doesn't do it any more.

what is the reasons for disconnecting the egr? fuel mileage....power. 03 F-250 6.0 psd (new to diesels)
